Helene Dutrieu: Aviatrix

I hadn't heard of this remarkable woman until last week. Helene Dutrieu was a pioneer aviatrix at the turn of the 20th century. She was the first woman in Belgium to be granted a pilot's license and the fourth woman in the world to be recognized as a pilot -- an amazing feat in that era.

This is a tiny film (about 3 minutes) I made about her. But there is so much more to her story that could've been told if I'd had more photos or film footage to use.
