Flight of the Conchords: David Bowie

I haven't seen much of Flight of the Conchords, but the few clips I have seen didn't really knock my socks off. This Bowie bit of theirs, however, made me snarfl mah sodee.

Yes Man

I just ordered Danny Wallace's book, Yes Man and I'm really looking forward to reading it. He and Dave Gorman are true pioneers who have double-handedly created the genre of Documentary Comedy.

In Yes Man, Danny spends an entire year saying Yes to any invitation, favor or suggestion asked of him. In the process, he lost nearly $60,000, took an LSD 'mind bomb,' met with a dog who allegedly had the power to hypnotize; became an ordained minister and gained a girlfriend whom he eventually married.

Two years ago, Warner Bros. optioned the book and planned on making a film with Jack Black playing Danny. That fell through, but today the studio announced that Jim Carrey is now going to star in the film. Shooting begins in October and the film is slated for a 2009 release.
